Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen (Heb. 11:1)
Faith is an attitude which encourages us to involve God in our lives and helps us to maintain and develop our relationships with God and with others both when things are going well and when they are not.

September 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26 - Elementary Wellness Leadership Conferences
The Well-Being Department is hosting six student wellness conferences, one per family of schools, during the month of September. We are inviting four intermediate student leaders and one teacher from every DPCDSB elementary school to this event.  The goal of the conference is to equip student leaders and their designated teachers with good-for-all wellness promotion strategies to share with their schools.  Event Facilitators: DPCDSB Well-Being Department, Keynote Speaker - MTClife, Student Mental Health and Well-Being Champions and Student Senate. September 23-27 - Truth and Reconciliation Week
Truth and Reconciliation Week is a national program open to all schools across Canada. Join us as we memorialize the children lost to the residential school system and honour Survivors and their families. Learning and commemorating the truth of our history from First Nations, Métis, and Inuit knowledge keepers is an important part of the path to Reconciliation.

September 25 - Black Excellence Success Team Open House
The Black Excellence Success Team (B.E.S.T.) invites employees who identify as Black to gather for fellowship and networking at our OPEN HOUSE on Wednesday, September 25th, 3:30-6:00 p.m. at St. Augustine C.S.S. (27 Drinkwater Road, Brampton). We will share updates, identify key events planned for this year, and give members the opportunity to participate in committees. September 30 - Orange Shirt Day
The annual Orange Shirt Day on September 30th opens the door to global conversation on all aspects of Residential Schools. It is an opportunity to create meaningful discussion about the effects of Residential Schools and the legacy they have left behind. A discussion all Canadians can tune into and create bridges with each other for reconciliation. A day for survivors to be reaffirmed that they matter, and so do those that have been affected. Every Child Matters, even if they are an adult, from now on. More Information.

October 3 - Parent ProGrant Session: Preparing Your Child with Differing Abilities for the Sacraments In-Person Information Session
The 91ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ Special Education Advisory Committee and Special Education and Learning Services are hosting an in-person ProGrant information session for families who will be preparing their child(ren) with differing abilities for the Sacraments.  It will be held at the Catholic Education Centre on Thursday October 3rd, 2024, at 6:30 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. Please refer to the event flyer for registration and information.

October 9 - Parent ProGrant Session: Navigating the Individual Education Plan Virtual Information Session
The 91ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ's Special Education Advisory Committee and Special Education and Learning Services Department are hosting a virtual ProGrant information session for families of students with diverse learning abilities to learn more about the I.E.P. process in DPCDSB on Wednesday October 9, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Please refer to the event flyer for registration and information.
